British street artist Banksy’s painting interpreting French painter Claude Monet sold for £ 7.5 million.

Banksy on Show Me The Monet from French impressionist Claude Monet’s series Water Lily. He reworked the “Japanese Bridge”.

At the auction held by Sotheby’s, “Show Me The Monet” expected to find buyers between 3.5 million and 5 million pounds.

‘Show Me The Monet’ where he added abandoned market cars and traffic cone to the work. It interpreted as Banksy’s shedding light on environmental insensitivity and excessive consumption habits in the society.
